I was under H1-B visa but I loose my job last April 8,2008. My visa will be expiring next June 2009, am I legal to work as a tutor every weekends to sustain my living? I''ll be getting married soon to my boyfriend who is a US citizen. How long will it take to get a green card through marriage?

No, you are not authorized to work for anyone other than the H-1B sponsor. A new employer would need to file a change of employer petition to employ you under the H-1B. When you and your boyfriend marry, then you will get an EAD in 30 to 60 days after your file the adjustment petition. The whole process will take 6 to 8 months to complete.
